Donut Ornaments and Recipes for the Holidays!

Toaster Pastry Phone Cases have hit Australia!

Beef, Barley, & Mushroom Soup

This is a recipe to warm your soul when the days get dark and cold!  Sadly that doesn't happen in Hawaii, so we just eat soup and sweat and try to remember that it is autumn in other parts of the world. :)  This is my altered version of a Barley Stew recipe that was tasty; the link is at the bottom and you should check it out!  I hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

Ingredients

Strawberry Chocolate Walnut Loaf

Ham Encrusted Mini Quiche

Quiche makes a fabulous meal for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner.  This is a great recipe that can be easily altered depending on the ingredients in the fridge.  The key to discovering fabulous quiche is trying new combinations!  Since I am trying to reduce my carb intake, I thought I would experiment with various crusts besides the traditional, high carb and high fat, pie crust.  The deli ham was the winner!  It bakes crispy and creates a yummy crust!

Banana Choco-Peanut Butter Frozen Treat!

Frozen Banana's are delectable!  I recently discovered Banana Ice Cream, with no Ice Cream.  It is amazingly yummy.  So I began altering and trying various recipes to make a frozen treat that was scrumptious but didn't have a dreaded sugar spike.  My solution to this was to add Peanut Butter which added a bunch of protein to stabilize the carb overload from the bananas.    I hope you love it!

Tabletop Taro Fish Pond

Summer Strawberry Butter

Summer is here and it's hot.  That means one thing... Strawberry season!  This week Whole Foods ran a super sale on organic strawberries, so I decided it was a great time to share my Strawberry Butter recipe.  This recipe came from my love of toast, butter and strawberries ... I hope it makes a great addition to your next brunch or afternoon tea!

While roaming the internet this week I have stumbled upon the most fun collection of colorful kitchen creation ideas!  I have always been a fan of color in my baking. I started making tie-dyed cupcakes when I was 14. Ever since they have always been a staple for any event that requests, "Danielle bring a dessert."  So when I found this post by Brit+Co I was smitten.  Which by the way, if you are unfamiliar with Brit+Co it is a fun site you should check often!
