While roaming the internet this week I have stumbled upon the most fun collection of colorful kitchen creation ideas!  I have always been a fan of color in my baking. I started making tie-dyed cupcakes when I was 14. Ever since they have always been a staple for any event that requests, "Danielle bring a dessert."  So when I found this post by Brit+Co I was smitten.  Which by the way, if you are unfamiliar with Brit+Co it is a fun site you should check often!

If cakes, cookies and dyed eggs aren't what you are looking for... check out this great idea of melting down candy into party themed shapes!

Which brings me to my last two links... melting down candy always makes me think of Chemistry!  I think it is a permanent link from when I watched my college Chemistry teacher light a gummy bear on fire so we could witness the color of the flame.  Anyway... candy and chemistry just go together so if you are looking for a fun conversation starter at your next gathering... pick up these cookie cutters from Think Geek and then try the melt down technique from Brit+Co!

And since no gathering would be complete without the perfect drinks... I can't resist suggesting these shot glasses from Think Geek!  They are definitely Geek Chic!
