Danielle London Shop and Life Update

Danielle London Etsy and Website Update

I've vanished for a while due to health but the shop will be reopen with a new look and new merchandise as soon as I can!

When I say a while, if anyone looks at the dates of these posts, that while has been years. It's a really long story that I won't go into lengthy details, but the short version is: I was happily living my life in Honolulu, when it suddenly crashed to a halt. I was busy in a professional office job, working on my Etsy shop and art on every spare minute, and trying to pay the astronomical rent in Honolulu.  Anyone from Hawaii or anyone who has even visited the islands understands the pain of a $10-12 gallon of milk. I started having health problems. There was a while where I lived off of green tea, rice, and chicken, hence the focus on felt food for those years. In the pic above I was living on pineapple and butternut squash. It got to the point I had to stop working; one day my doctor told me that was it, my career was over the stress what going to kill me. That day at my doctor’s office started a cascade that I didn't see coming. I had to move back to the mainland, and as soon as I got back I was diagnosed with cancer. Jobless, having just moved 3000 miles, and then cancer, not to mention living in pain and not able to eat. Needless to say, it was a low point. I tried to keep my shop up and it was too much, so I shut everything down. My whole life. Etsy, creating artwork, work, friends, social media, everything.  I just went off the radar. By the time I had finished radiation I had hope of getting my life back, but then I got hit with a rare side effect from the cancer surgery. Then when I thought it couldn't get worse my Cobra (health insurance from my previous employer) ran out and I had to go on Obama care. I then had to move states because in the state I was in it was $18,000 a year for insurance!!!! So, I moved another 1200 miles for the purpose of health insurance. Meanwhile, there was a magical medication for my rare illness, so I jumped up and started piecing my life together. Then the FDA and the pharmaceutical company pulled the drug. So, I crashed again. And I sat unwell trying to get back to "normal" for a few more years. It has been a long journey and it isn't over. Along the way I have discovered a love of gardening, landscaping, home repairs, business/entrepreneurship, and gaming. I'm not there yet, but I'm on the way back out of the forest. So, bear with me, and I will get this back together in time.
